Bow Corridor

Information provided courtesy of Kananaskis Country

Located at the northernmost part of Kananaskis Country between Banff and Calgary, the Bow Corridor is a gateway to the Canadian Rockies and has been used as a travel route for over 10,000 years.

Towering peaks surround the valley. Retreating glaciers have left a landscape carpeted by a mosaic of meadows, aspens and evergreens. Rare and unusual flowers grace the hills and hollows of the valley.

Look for surprises in this valley – the spring and fall migrations of golden eagles overhead. Hike up sun-filled canyons or ridges frequented by cougars and sheep, or witness one of Alberta’s most prolific trout spawning streams.
